Victoria’s – Grit and Grace
Stephen Moore is an American economist, writer, and conservative television commentator.
So, if you want to understand the mix of economics, politics, media, and influence that shaped his career, this is where the story begins.
Stephen Moore’s career moves through think tanks, political advocacy, media, and tax policy—and it tells a bigger story about how economic ideas travel from policy circles into public debate. From there, his path kept expanding—through the Wall Street Journal, consulting work, campaign advising, and later a return to Heritage, where he was again tied to major conservative economic advocacy. He also surfaced in some of the era’s most visible policy fights, from disputes around campaign finance to efforts to reshape tax policy in Washington.
Steve Moore was involved with the consulting firms Arduin, Laffer & Moore Econometrics, and 32 Advisors. Moore co-founded the advocacy group Committee to Unleash Prosperity with Laffer, Larry Kudlow, and Steve Forbes.
Steve Moore worked with Larry Kudlow on overhauling the US tax policy for the Trump administration, which was eventually passed into law by Congress
Steve Moore co-authored the chapter on the Department of the Treasury in the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 book, Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise
Committee to Unleash Prosperity. Additionally, Moore became chief economic officer of Frax, a cryptocurrency company that branded itself “the world’s decentralized central bank”
