The Supreme Court Slows Downs Deportation of Illegals
Murray Edwards
It’s disappointing as the Supreme Courts rules 7-2 against the Executive Branch attempts to deport illegal criminals via the Alien Enemies Act.
Technically, they did not stop the use of the law, what they did was slow down the process of the removal of these individuals by allowing them additional time to push back on their deportations.
These people broke US immigration laws the minute they entered the country illegally during the previous administration’s horrendous immigration policies.
Why are they being awarded with the same rights of the citizens of the country or individuals who migrated into the country in the proper manner?
None of these folks ever planned to become a citizen of America.
They never took the oath, they never planned to assimilate, they only planned to continue their criminal tendencies here in United States and should be removed in an expeditious manner.
Justice Samuel Alito, joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, stated with a dissent that the Supreme Court lacked jurisdiction to consider the case and that the evidence did not justify granting relief to the whole class.
He stated that his colleagues misunderstood the district court’s actions by suggesting the judge denied an injunction due to not acting within a little over two hours on an application that involved significant and complex issues and was supported by weak factual submissions.
